The customer does the walking. The agent does the judging. The system does the remembering.
Customer types the plate. The kiosk finds the vehicle and shows an itemized balance through today.
Front and back of the license go to encrypted storage. Third parties scan the written authorization too.
A live agent joins by video from any yard or from home. Holds show up red before anything else.
Card on the kiosk, wallet on their phone, or cash with change. Receipt by text or email, numbered.
The gate opens only after a completed payment is on file and no hold is active. Logged with who and when.
Agent desk
The call, the record, the balance, and the gate button sit together. Agents stop alt-tabbing and start releasing cars.
Calls from every kiosk land in one list. Decline sends it back to the queue, not to voicemail. Take over a stuck call with one confirm.
If no agent picks up in 60 seconds the on-call phone gets a text. The customer sees a wait estimate and can ask for a text when an agent is ready.
Relay over port 443, automatic ICE restart, and a network check on the kiosk before the first customer of the day.

Send a link when the car comes in. It shows today's balance, what to bring, the yard hours, and an Apple Pay button. Paid ahead means a six-character release code at the kiosk, a 30-second agent confirm, and the gate.

A released police-hold car ends a contract. TowAgent refuses at the kiosk, refuses at the payment, and refuses at the gate until an agent overrides with a reason that goes in the record.
Placed by an agent or through the API. Blocks release everywhere. Override is audited.
Notice dates come from the state rules. Letters render as PDFs with the right statute language.
